Respira Lambswool Half Pad Natural

I was dealing with very slight saddle pad slippage. The saddle was stable, but the pad slipped just enough during a ride to bother me. After having the saddle assessed for fit and coming to the conclusion it was not a fit problem but a horse build problem, I asked a couple fitters what they would suggest to prevent this issue. They advised a change of girth. This didn't fix the issue and they were tapped for suggestions. So I did my own research and found the Acavallo gel pads were consistently recommended for this situation. I reached out to Horse Health and they advised me further on a style and highlighted the features of this particular pad, citing that it was one of their thinnest products, save the light pad. That was perfect, as my saddle had been fit without consideration for a bulky half pad underneath. I was worried it would be too large for my 17" dressage saddle, but it fit perfectly, bordering on almost too small. It 100% stopped the saddle pad from sliding. Even when used with the silkiest of saddle pads. Not to mention, it looked smart too. I don't know how it does for concussion absorption, as I didn't get it for that. It did allow for great air flow and seemed to vent sweat well. Overall, a fantastic product!

This is really fantastic! It fits very well with the 17.5" saddle and doesn't move at all. And looks very nice too when tacked up. Most importantly it doesn't require much maintenance or washing. The gel half pad is breathable for my horse and perfect for Singapore weather which is summer throughout. Thinking of getting another one as spare. Hope it comes in other colors soon.
